Why Catalog Kings

Choosing a commercial printer is not only a price decision. The right partner must understand the project, identify production risks, coordinate each stage and deliver a finished piece that represents your brand well.

Catalog Kings supports catalog and commercial-printing projects from file preparation and color proofing through printing, binding, specialty finishing, mailing and delivery. Customers work with one production team instead of coordinating a separate printer, finisher and mailing provider.

40 Years of Printing-Industry Experience

Kory Hershkowitz has 40 years of experience in the printing industry. His expertise includes catalog production, commercial printing, direct mail, binding and finishing, and integrated marketing solutions. Kory helps businesses develop high-quality printed materials that support their sales and marketing goals.

Kory and the Catalog Kings team help customers evaluate specifications before production begins. That includes choices such as paper, binding, finishing, proofing, mailing and delivery—not simply putting ink on paper.

Printing and Finishing Capabilities Under One Roof

Catalog Kings coordinates the major stages of a print project through one team:

  • prepress review and color-proofing support;
  • sheet-fed and digital printing;
  • six-color press capabilities, spot colors and varnishes;
  • saddle stitching, PUR perfect binding and Wire-O binding;
  • foil, spot UV, raised spot UV, film lamination and die cutting;
  • graphic design, photography and image-preparation support;
  • addressing, mailing and distribution planning.

Final availability, specifications and schedules are confirmed for each project. See our detailed pages for custom catalog printing, bindery and specialty finishing and direct-mail services.

Technology for Premium and Short-Run Work

Catalog Kings adopted the Konica Minolta AccurioJet 30000 HS-UV Inkjet B2+ 29-inch press as part of its production strategy. The press supports high-quality short-run work without conventional plates or make-readies, helping the team match the production method to the quantity and project requirements.

Catalog Kings also operates a Konica Minolta JETvarnish 3DS digital embellishment press for applications such as spot UV and foil. Bringing these embellishment capabilities in-house gives the production team more direct control over premium catalog covers and other high-impact pieces.

These investments have been documented by Konica Minolta and independent printing-industry publishers. Equipment alone does not guarantee a successful job; the value comes from combining the right technology with file preparation, proofing, production planning and finishing experience.

Third-party coverage:

A Defined Process From Specifications to Delivery

1. Understand the project

We begin with the finished size, page count, quantity, paper, binding, finishing, mailing or shipping needs and target date. If a specification is uncertain, tell us how the piece will be used so the team can help identify appropriate options.

2. Review files and production requirements

Prepress review checks whether supplied artwork is ready for the approved production plan. Depending on the project, this may include dimensions, bleed, image resolution, color setup, fonts, page order, cover construction and production layers for specialty effects.

3. Approve the proof

The customer reviews and approves the appropriate proof before production. Proofing requirements depend on the job. Customer approval remains essential for content, pricing, spelling, page order and other business information.

4. Print, bind and finish

The approved project moves through printing, binding and any specialty-finishing steps. Coordinating these stages through one production plan reduces avoidable handoffs and helps surface schedule or compatibility concerns earlier.

5. Ship or mail

Finished pieces are shipped or entered into the approved mailing workflow. Address data, postage, packaging, delivery windows and split shipments should be planned before production whenever possible.

Customer Feedback and Independent Recognition

As verified on September 1, 2026, Catalog Kings displays a 4.9 average from 170 Google reviews. Read the current Google reviews.

What to Ask Any Catalog Printer

Use the same standards whether you are evaluating Catalog Kings or another provider:

  1. Can the printer explain which production method fits the quantity and quality goals?
  2. Who reviews files, and what does the customer remain responsible for approving?
  3. Are binding, finishing and mailing coordinated in the same production plan?
  4. Can the printer show original production examples and relevant customer feedback?
  5. Are schedule assumptions, paper availability and outside dependencies explained before approval?
  6. Is there a clear person responsible for the project from estimate through delivery?

Discuss Your Next Print Project

Send the finished size, page count, quantity, paper or finish preferences, binding, mailing or delivery needs and target date. If you do not yet know every specification, describe the audience and how the finished piece will be used.
